As a new member, I'm sure there are many questions you have about the Teamsters Union.

Understanding your Union will be extremely important in the years to come. To become a member in good standing, you must take your oath of obligation and attend a new member orientation. To accomplish this, attend our next Regular Meeting. If you cannot attend, call Local 24 to schedule a time when you can come to the Union Hall. We request that you do this within 30 days to establish good standing status within Local 24. You may not be able to participate as a good standing member until you do.

I hope you will take an interest in your Union and actively support your Stewards at the worksite.

Working together, we can help to insure equity on the job. The strength of the Local reflects the unity of its members.

If you have a question about your job or contract, you should first contact your Steward.

We are very proud of our Stewards, and they are Local 24's front line people. If you are unable to make contact with your steward in a reasonable amount of time, please call your Business Representative and leave your name and phone number if he is unavailable.~
